If you are just window shopping for a new church having recently moved or are thinking about trying church for the first time we’d be really pleased to welcome you in person at any of our services or just drop in one day when church is open and have a look around.

History
Ss Peter and Paul began as the chapel for the Royal Small Arms Factory on what is now Enfield Island Village. After the closure of the chapel The parish was founded having been carved out of the parish of Waltham Abbey. The parish church was built on the corner of Ordnance and Chesterfield Road the site of our present car park. The church stood there until the mid 1960’s when it was decided that the building needed replacing. The present Church was consecrated in 1969 and many of the original features of the “old church” being retained for the “new church”. In 1981 our church hall was built. The parish has always stood firmly within the Catholic tradition f the Church of England and has historically had strong links with the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham in Norfolk.
Outreach
We have a community cafe in our church hall which provides free tea and coffee followed by a 2 course hot lunch (£4) and bingo (£1 per card) every Thursday morning from 10:30.
Fr Miller is chaplain to a local Air Cadet unit and is also very pleased to be invited to local schools for assemblies or to have them visit church as part of their RE curriculum.
In Advent and Lent we offer activity afternoons for children to learn more about our faith.
